Among these incarnations, ten are considered major avatars and are collectively known as Dashavatara.

Some Hindus consider Jesus as an avatar and specifically as the reincarnation of Krishna. However, it is important to clarify that Jesus was not reincarnated; He was resurrected. In Christianity, Jesus is fully human and fully God. He does not fit the concept of an avatar since avatars are believed to be partial manifestations of a deity on earth.
In some ways, Jesus' role in bringing restoration and righteousness may seem similar to the Hindu avatar concept. However, from a Christian perspective, Jesus is not merely one path among many to eternal salvation. In John 14:6, Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life.
