Baptized Again

Through baptism, we visually portray being buried with Christ as we go under the water. Coming out of the water symbolizes Christ's resurrection and our identification with Him as we are raised to live a new life in Him. Hence, baptism is an act of obedience—a public declaration of faith and commitment to Christ, as well as an identification with His death, burial, and resurrection.
Should a Person Be Baptized Again?
If we genuinely understand the significance of baptism and have already been baptized after putting our faith in Jesus Christ, then there is no need for us to be baptized again simply because we have sinned. However, if we were not believers when we were previously baptized, then it is appropriate for us to be baptized again after coming to faith in Christ. On the other hand, if we were believers but did not fully comprehend the meaning of baptism at the time, then it may be a matter of personal conviction to be rebaptized.
Ultimately, the decision to be rebaptized is a matter of conscience between the believer and God. It is important to remember that baptism does not provide forgiveness for sins. When believers sin, they should confess their sins to God, seeking His forgiveness and restoration of their intimate fellowship with Him. The Bible assures us that "he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9, NIV). Nowhere in Scripture does it state that we must be rebaptized in order to receive forgiveness.
