Can Humans Become Angels?
Angels are unique beings created by God to carry out His plan and minister to followers of Christ. They are different from humans and were created as angels, with no indication of them being formerly human or anything else. Angels have no need for the redemption that Christ provides for humans.
What are Angels?

What Happens After Death?
When a believer in Christ dies, their spirit goes to be with Him. However, they do not become angels. In the biblical account of the Mount of Transfiguration, Elijah and Moses appeared as themselves, recognizable to those present. They had not transformed into angels but had been glorified.

According to 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, believers in Christ who have died are asleep in Jesus. This means that their physical bodies are dead, but their spirits are alive. When Christ returns, He will bring with Him those who are asleep in Him, and their bodies will be raised and made new, similar to Christ's resurrected body. This resurrection will result in believers having bodies free from sin.

All believers in Christ will recognize one another and live with the Lord forever. We will serve Him throughout eternity, alongside the angels.
