Integrity is a quality that is highly valued in the Bible. In the Old Testament, the Hebrew word for integrity means being without blemish, complete, perfect, sincere, upright, and whole. In the New Testament, integrity is defined as honesty and adherence to a pattern of good works.
Jesus Christ is the perfect example of a man of integrity. Despite being tempted by Satan during His forty days and nights in the wilderness, Jesus never sinned. He remained completely truthful and always showed a pattern of good works. As Christians, we are called to be like Jesus and strive for integrity in our lives.
When we accept Jesus as our Savior, we become new creations in Him. We are considered without blemish before God and have the indwelling Holy Spirit at work in us, sanctifying us and making us more like Jesus. It is by God's power that we become people of integrity.
Living with integrity in today's corrupt world can be challenging. However, as Christians, we are called to be morally incorruptible. We should not be swayed or compromised because we serve God rather than men. We are to keep our word, love others through our actions, and follow God's ways.
It is important to remember that living with integrity may come with challenges and suffering. However, we can find encouragement in knowing that Christ also suffered for doing what is right. To live with integrity means to follow the example of Christ and rely on His power.
