Genuine love for God naturally leads to obedience. Although we will not be perfect in our obedience, our desire should be to submit to the Lord and display good works. When we love God and obey Him, we naturally cultivate love for one another. Our obedience to God's commands allows us to shine as lights in a dark world and add flavor to a tasteless society (Matthew 5:13–16).
